Well perhaps my favorite evening camping pastime is storytelling (or story listening). Somewhere along the line I started learning cowboy poetry and let me tell you there are some very talented cowboy poets and writers out there but none any better than the famous Bruce Kiskaddon and S.Omar Barker. And while Robert Service is not really a cowboy poet, you will hear his poems recited by cowboy poets and surely he was the mold from which cowboy poetry grew. Well here are my favorite Cowboy poems including three by contemporary poets and while some are downright funny, others are quite gripping. Storytellers new and old will get some good campfire material from this one. You can't get this collection anywhere else!
